Auckland Central Catholic Kāhui Ako

Auckland Central Catholic Kāhui Ako

We welcome you to the inaugural ACC Kahui Ako Conference.

We have approximately 320 teachers coming  to Marist College on the 21st of March, with over 50 workshops set up for teachers to teach teachers!

We have Mary Chamberlain from Evaluation Associates and  Fee McLeod from MindLab speaking as our keynote speakers and Bishop Patrick will open the Conference with a liturgy.

The highlights from the Conference will be as follows

  • Celebrating our Catholic faith as a group of Catholic schools
  • Primary and Secondary teachers learning side-by-side
  • Building a sense of community between our schools

The Auckland Catholic Central Kahui Ako has been functioning for one year. It was established in Term 4 of 2016 with leadership roles being assigned at the start of 2017.

We plan to hold a Conference every two years with 'ako' between the sectors being the goal. We hope you enjoy the learning that will take place and together we will map and plan for our future as a Kahui Ako with children at the heart of all we do.

We are a community of 11 schools all working towards our vision of creating a Community of Learning, where a basis in Faith strengthens us to collectively develop the whole child.
